As someone who does frequently go fly fishing, this is essentially a nice pat on your back, as you'll mostly know where to click, I think. It's made overly confusing however, this could be way simpler and not as scientific. Fish aren't always that predictable and reliable in picking their spots.
As someone that's never fly fished before, I found it to be a nice shallow wade into something I knew nothing about and came away slightly richer knowledge-wise for it.
But I do agree, it could probably use some more of the creator’s own personality and some restraint design wise if it were to go beyond scratching an itch.
